Management Aptitude Test (MAT)

MAT December 2015: Registration opens, last date to apply is 21 november 2015

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a National Entrance Test conducted by All India Management Aptitude Testing Service (AIMATS), for admission to MBA and equivalent programmes of the various participating institutes. AIMA-MAT is conducted 4 times a year: in February, May, September and December. The list of institutes that use the AIMA-MAT results varies from test to test.
AIMA MAT exam is held in two formats. You have option for taking MAT either as paper based or computer based test.

Important Dates for September Exam

  • Last Date to Apply: 21 November, 2015
  • Paper Based Test: 6 December, 2015
  • Computer Based Test: 12 December, 2015 onwards

Admit Card For MAT Dec 2015:

  • All the registered candidates both for Paper Based and Computer Based MAT Dec 2015 Test can download their Admit Card from AIMA website from Nov 28, 2015 onwards. Specific Admit Card is generated both for the candidates opted for the Paper Based Test and for the Computer Based Test. No separate Admit Card will be issued and sent to a candidate.

 

Eligibility

You should be graduate in any discipline. You can also apply even if you are in the final year.

Exam Pattern

The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes. There are five sections:

  1. Language Comprehension
  2. Mathematical Skills
  3. Data Analysis and Sufficiency
  4. Intelligence and Critical Reasoning
  5. Indian and Global Environment

However, the scores are given on the basis of the first four sections only. The total marks is 800. However, the scores of the Indian and Global Environment, or the General Knowledge section is not considered by the B-schools. Generally, the cut-off of the exam ranges for 500 and more score which is 50 percentile and above.

Declaration Of Result:

Result for MAT Dec 2015 is expected to be declared in the last week of December, 2015. In fact MAT is the only computer based test the result of which is declared in the same month of the written exam
