ICC GROUP Is giving information about MAT -

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national-level management entrance examination. The test scores are used for admission to various MBA, PGDM and allied management programmes. The exam is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA). More than 600 B-Schools accept MAT exam scores.


MAT is held four times in a year: February, May, September and December. Important dates are announced three months before the exam.


MAT September 2016 dates are out. The paper-based exam was held on September 4, 2016. The computer-based test will held on September 10, 2016. 

The last date for online registration is Tuesday, August 23, 2016.

MAT September 2016 dates have been announced.

MAT is an objective-type test with multiple-choice questions. Candidates can choose to take the exam in either of the two modes – paper-based or computer-based.



Here's the eligibility criteria for the MAT 2016 exam (MAT September 2016):

  • Graduates in any discipline can take the exam.
  • Final year graduation students can also apply.
  • There’s no age limit for MAT exam.

MAT 2016 application fees is Rs 1200 (One thousand two hundred only). Candidates can apply through any one of three following modes:

Online Payment

By registering online via Credit Card/Debit Card (ATM Card) payment. Detailed procedure is given on the MAT website link.

Demand Draft

Obtain crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1200 in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi from any bank. Then register online along with the DD details.


Obtain form with MAT Bulletin/CD against a cash payment of Rs 1200 from listed Nodal Centres of AIMA OR from AIMA, New Delhi.

Candidates who have opted for computer-based test can choose the date and time slot of their choice, subject to availability. While filling up admission forms, candidates need to fill in details of five management institutes during registration. MAT scores will be sent directly to these institutes.

Admit Card

Candidates can download their MAT admit cards from AIMA website. Specific admit cards will be generated MAT aspirants who opted for the paper-based test and for the computer-based test. It contains the candidate’s name, form no, roll no, test date, test time and test venue address. In case of computer-based test, candidates have to strictly follow the date and time allotted.

In case of MAT September 2016 exam, admit cards will be available from August 27, 2016, onwards.

No separate admit card will be issued or dispatched. Candidates can download it from the official website.

Date and time slot for the exam will be automatically allotted by the system to those candidates who do not select their slot up to four days before the computer-based test.
